Job Title: Robot Programmer
About the Role
A1 Robotics is presently in search of proactive and outcome-driven Intermediate Level - Robot Programmers (Fanuc Robots) who possess the ability to collaborate within a team environment while also demonstrating independence with a strong emphasis on precision and safety.
These roles will directly report to the Robotics Manager. Additionally, there may be occasions where reporting to Managers and Team Leads at job sites is necessary. The responsibilities of Robot Programmers encompass collaborating with our clients to conceptualize, test, implement, diagnose, and program Robots and Automation Control Systems.
Furthermore, this position necessitates adherence to client directives, prompt response to line calls, and provision of programming assistance, production support, troubleshooting, and related duties.
Your Responsibilities
Setup of Robotic cells, including single or multiple robots, Robot Transfer Units or Linear Slides, other seventh-axis equipment, and secondary systems.
Program Fanuc robot systems in an automotive, industrial manufacturing, or assembly setting
Consult on the design of End of Arm Tools with mechanical and electrical automation engineers.
Work on spot welding, MIG welding, dispense/sealing, and material handling applications
Perform simulations in relevant brand-specific simulation software such as RoboGuide during the design cycle.
Prepare preliminary program deployments using simulations.
Perform actual hands-on Teach-Pendant programming on the shop floor to execute the motion as conceptualized in the design phase.
Assist in start-up at the customer’s site.
Ensures quality, cost, and delivery commitments on projects are met.
Work on schedule and within the budget on all robot programming aspects of the project and manage own time for maximum efficiency.
Provide all information to support procurement of all robot related components, entering data into MRP system.
Capable of writing technical documents in English at an engineering level.
Education and Certificates:
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (Electro-Mechanical/Automation/Electrical Engineering Technology etc.)
Relevant work experience will also be considered
Certificates with Fanuc Robots are an asset.
DCS certificate is an asset.
Travel Requirements:
Travel and fieldwork across Canada and the USA are obligatory.

Day shift
Night shift
Overtime
Weekends as needed
Experience:
Fanuc: 2 years (required)
ABB: 2 years (preferred)
Yaskawa / Motoman: 2 years (preferred)
Work Location: On the road
